The No. 19 Thunderbirds breezed through the Clarendon College Bulldogs Wednesday night in three sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-14).
Freshman outside hitter Iva Popovic recorded a match-high 13 kills and 10 digs. Maggie Machado added 11 kills and 13 digs in the win. Middle blocker Karielys Maldonado finished the night with seven kills.
Milena Cernjanski made the switch to libero with Luiza Arsufi mid game and recorded 12 digs. Lacie Schooley posted 32 assists and 12 digs in the three-set victory.
The T-Birds move to 3-2 in conference and 15-6 on the year. The Thunderbirds will play Frank Phillips College Saturday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. CDT in Borger, Texas.
