NMJC stuns NMMI in Three Sets, Schooley NJCAA POTW
No. 19 NMJC stunned No. 9 New Mexico Military Institute on the road in three sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-18). The win marks the first time in program history NMJC defeated NMMI in a set or a match.
The Thunderbirds controlled the matchup, winning narrowly in the first and second sets before dominating the third set. The three-headed monster attack of Iva Popovic, Maggie Machado, and Gaby Arias proved to be too much for the Broncos.

Milena Cernjanski and Luiza Arsufi were stout on defense with 16 and 19 digs respectively.
Lacie Schooley totaled 36 more assists in the matchup against the Broncos. The Roswell, NM native was recently named NJCAA DI Volleyball Player of the Week.
