T-Birds Beat The Midland Chaps

The T-Birds went head to head with the Midland Chaps for another conference game tonight at Chaparral Center. The T-Birds won 75-44 in a dominating offensive fashion. 

The T-Birds came out strong in the first half with 9 points from sophomore Devin Butts, 6 points from freshman Dario Domingos and 4 points from freshman Muhamed Mbaye. The T-Birds made 16 points in the paint compared to the Chaps 14, putting the T-Birds in the lead 29-21 going into halftime. 

The T-Birds had another good second half scoring 46 points against the Chaps 23 points. Strong rebounding and defense projected the T-Birds to a commanding lead halfway through the second half with their largest lead being by 31 points. 

T-Birds scoring double digits were Devin Butts with 21 points, and both Jordan Booker and Dario Domingos put up 13 points. The T-Birds finished the game with a win with a final score of 75-44, pushing their conference record to 1-1 moving into Saturday's WJCAC battle vs. Western Texas at 4PM MST in Caster Activity Center.
