Jordan Booker Named One of Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of October 31 – November 6.
The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Justin Wilson of McLennan Community College.
The 6-7 sophomore forward from Oklahoma City, OK went 7-7 from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line for 17 points with 5 rebounds in the Highlanders' 106-58 win over Our Lady of the Lake JV. He also was 9-12 from the field and 2-7 from the free throw line for 20 points with 8 rebounds in Highlanders' 84-63 win over Strength N Motion.
The Western Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Jordan Booker from New Mexico Junior College.
The 6-0 sophomore guard from Chicago, IL averaged 35.5 points, 5.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game to lead the Thunderbirds to a 3-0 record. He went 31 of 35 from the free throw line and also had 9 steals.
The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Spencer Simes from Dallas College – Eastfield.
The 6-2 freshman guard from North Little Rock, AR scored 51 points against Dallas Christian College JV. In two games played last week, he averaged 39.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game. He was 32 of 45 from the field, 4 of 4 on 3-pointers and 11 of 11 from the free throw line.
