The New Mexico Junior College men's basketball team bounced back from its first road loss of the year with a come from behind 70-66 win at Western Texas Monday night.
The win improved the Thunderbirds to 11-1 on the road.
The Thunderbirds trailed 46-33 after the first half, but outscored the Westerners 37-20 in the second half to secure the win.
Roosevelt Smart led the T-Birds with a game-high 29 points while Shawn Olden chipped in 16 for NMJC. With the win, the NMJC men improve to 18-6 on the season and 6-4 in WJCAC play. The Thunderbirds will be back on their home court Thursday when New Mexico Military institute visits Caster Activity Center for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
