Men's Basketball completes sweep, defeats NMMI for third time
Roswell, NEW MEXICO
For the third time this season, the New Mexico Junior College Men's Basketball team defeated NMMI, this time on the road, 80-70.
The Thunderbirds were led by sophomore guard, Randy Haynes who scored 26 points. Tyler Blount added 15 points and Nnamdi Okoro scored 14 while collecting a game high eight rebounds. Sophomore point guard Jalin Hart dished out a game high six assists and added 11 points.
The Broncos could only manage to shoot 38% from the field and turned the ball over 15 times to the Thunderbirds 8.
NMJC will be home on February 8th for homecoming to take on the South Plains College Texans. The Texans and Thunderbirds are tied for second in WJCAC play. Tip time is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. MST
