Thunderbirds suffer road loss to Westerners

Western Texas played the role of spoiler on their home court as they defeated the New Mexico Junior College Men's Basketball team 84-72.
Randy Haynes led the way for NMJC posting his third double-double of the season posting 15 points and 13 rebounds, both game highs. Jalin Hart scored 13 points and added five assists and four steals while Tyler Blount chipped in 11 points. Nnamdi Okoro and Xabier Gomez each finished with 10.
The Westerners held NMJC to 37% shooting from the field while shooting 47% themselves. They also outrebounded NMJC 46-41.
Next up for NMJC will be a road trip to Roswell, New Mexico to take on the New Mexico Military Institute Broncos on Thursday. Game time is set for 6:00 P.M. MST.
