Men's Basketball picked 4th
Hobbs, NEW MEXICO -
The New Mexico Junior College Men's Basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2015-2016 Coaches poll released Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
First year Head Coach, Brian Lohrey, returns three sophomores off last years 23-9 team that finished third in the league. The Thunderbirds advanced to the semi-finals of the Region 5 tournament before falling to the eventual NJCAA National Runners up, South Plains College.
Coach Lohrey will look to Tyler Blount, Jalin Hart, and Randy Haynes to provide the leadership to the 2015-2016 team. All three saw significant minutes for last years team and will lead the way this year through the always tough Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
The Thunderbirds will open up at home on Friday, October 30, 2015 versus Region 9 opponent, Trinidad State Junior College at 7:00pm.
