2017-18 Cross Country News
The NMJC Thunderbirds sent two runners to the NJCAA Half Marathon in Topeka, KS. Cynthia Kipserem and Sharon Jerono represented the T-Birds over the 13.1 mile course.
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country team finished as region runner-ups, losing only to #3 ranked El Paso. This placing will now advance the team to the NJCAA Championships.
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country team stayed in Hobbs to compete at the University of the Southwest Invitational. Unfortunately, due to injury and illness the T-Birds were unable to finish a full team.
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country team competed at the South Plains Invitational, the team finished 3rd place.
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country placed a disappointing 3rd Place at the NMJC Invitational.

The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country placed four runners in the top seven to come away with a close victory at the Western Texas College Meet.
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country Team opened the 2017 season at the Lubbock Christian Rust Buster Relays.
