T-Birds Finish 2nd at Home Open

Hobbs, NEW MEXICO -

The NMJC Thunderbirds continued their 2015 season as they hosted the NMJC Open at a soggy Harry McAdams Park on Friday, October 9, 2015. 

The #17 ranked T-Birds finished 2^nd Place as a team (85 points), losing only to NCAA Division II Eastern New Mexico. The Tbirds dominated fellow WJCAC foes South Plains (124 pts), New Mexico Military Inistitute (170 pts), Odessa College (204 pts) and Western Texas College (NTS).

Individual, Rose Jebet, continued her winning ways by finishing first in a time of 18:39. Her winning time is also the 6^th fastest time in school history.    

Jebet was joined in the top 10 by her teammate Silvia Sosa in 4^th place (19.39).

Up next the T-Birds will travel to South Plains on October 24^th.
