Quincy Montoya Awaits 3rd Go on Friday
Quincy Montoya finished Day 3 of the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) with a 7.5 second run in the goat tying on Tuesday, June 16.
The second go run is a tie for 36th place but she still sits in a good spot headed into the third round of the goat tying with an average of 13.6 after her 6.1 second first go. She will compete in the sixth event of the night during Friday's 7 p.m. MDT performance.
Montoya is also ready to compete in the breakaway third go during Friday's performance as the third event. She was a 2.8 second run Sunday night and a 2.0 run on Monday. She is looking great in the average at 4.8 seconds as she eyes Saturday's Short Round.
All performances of the CNFR starting Tuesday through Saturday, June 16-20th, 2026, will air on ESPN+.

12 individuals make it to the CNFR Short Round with the national champion being the top breakaway roper or goat tyer with the best four-round average. The final takes place Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. MDT inside the Ford Wyoming Center.
