NMJC Rodeo at Clarendon College Results
NMJC’s Burr Wins Men’s All-Around Cowboy Title at Clarendon College Rodeo
Clarendon College was host site this past weekend for the fourth of five Fall 2016 NIRA/SWR rodeos. Preston Burr from Stratford, TX won the Clarendon Men's All-Round Title by splitting 2nd/3rd in the team roping average with his partner NMJC's James D. Reed (header) from Spearman, TX. Both men are saddle bronc riders, that's their forte, imagine saddle bronc riders placing in team roping. Preston placed fourth in the average in saddle bronc riding.
Other NMJC Cowboys placing in the average were Tyce McLeod from Waldeck, SK, placing third in the average in tie down roping, Wyatt Hayes from Val Marie, SK, placing seventh in the average in tie down roping, and Logan Delinte (header) in team roping from Lacandena, SK, split 5th/6th in the long go, but had a no time in the short go taking them out of the average.
NMJC Men's team finished third overall in team points scoring 390 points. Tarleton State was first with 480 points and Western Texas finished second scoring 445 points.
Last Fall 2016 NIRA/SWR Rodeo will be Texas Tech in Wolforth, TX, October 27-29, 2016.
