Burr wins Saddle Bronc Championship at FPC
Perryton, TEXAS -
The New Mexico Junior College Rodeo team traveled to Perryton, TX for the Frank Phillips Rogeo held in Perryton, Texas, Ocotber 8010, 2015. As a team, the Thunderbirds only qualified one member to Saturday's short go.
Preston Burr (So) from Stratford, TX earned the FPC Saddle Bronc Riding Championship title by winning the long go with a score of 77 points, and placing 2nd in the short go scoring 74 points. Preston won the championship by winning the average with 151 points on two bucking horses. He edged out Wyatt Casper from Clarendon College who scored 149 points on two rides.
NMJC Rodeo finishes out its Fall 2015 rodeo season this coming weekend, Oct.15-17, 2015 at the Texas Tech Rodeo being held in the Texas Tech Equestrian Center at Wolfforth, TX.
