Former Tbird Lamb earns 2014 PRCA "Rookie of the Year" Honors
2014 Dutch Klein winner, Kody Lamb, continues his success as a professional.
Former NMJC Rodeo Student Athlete and graduate Kody Lamb wins the 2014 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association "Rookie of the Year" in Bareback Riding. Kody will be recognized for his accomplishment during the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas Dec. 4-13, 2014.
Kody started his quest to win the "Rookie of the Year" as a sophomore at NMJC, while competing in the professional ranks. After graduating with both an A.A. and A.A.S. degrees last spring he rodeoed hard thru the summer and early fall to win the coveted title.
He is continuing his education on a rodeo scholarship at Tarleton state University while competing in both the collegiate and professional rodeos.
While a rodeo student athlete at NMJC for two years, he received many academic honors from NMJC, Southwest Region, and National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Kody was a two time qualifier for the College National Finals Rodeo for the NMJC Men's Rodeo Team in 2013 and 2014.
