T-Birds Finish Fourth at 2022 NJCAA National Championship Tournament
The T-Birds competed in the 2022 NJCAA National Championship Tournament hosted at Odessa Country Club in Odessa, TX last week for a chance at the national title.
The teams played four rounds in four days on the par 72. NMJC finished day one shooting 288 and day two shooting 297. Day three was a big day for the T-Birds as they had the low score of the day shooting 278 making them tied for second place going into the final day of the tournament. Unfortunately this was not enough for the T-Birds as they fell short day four shooting 289 bringing their final score to 1152, landing them fourth place at 2022 NJCAA Nationals.
Hutchinson Community College took the National title ending the tournament shooting 22 under the par 72 with a final score of 1130. Odessa College finished second shooting 1150 and Midland Communigy College finished third shooting 1151.
JT Pittman from Midland College defeated Dominic Clemons from Hutchinson Community College in a playoff to win the individual title shooting 281. Our own Matthis Lefévre finished the tournament tied for fourth shooting 284. Following Lefévre was Mads Roddik in eighth place shooting 285.
This was the end of the T-Birds golf season, they will be back for another great season next year!
