Teams of The Week

Here is a look at the teams that made the biggest moves or had huge weeks as a team for each division

Phoenix – 4-0

The state of Arizona is always a powerhouse and one of the big things so far this season is Phoenix. Currently sitting at 9-0 after a 4-0 week. The past week saw a 5-4 win over GCU, a 6-5 win over Central Arizona, then a series sweep over Chandler-Gilbert in a 2-1 game, and then a 6-1 game. Phoenix started the season ranked #13 in the Division 2 ranks and looks to be rising up many ranks very fast if they keep this pace up. 

New Mexico – 5-0

New Mexico was one of the teams that sat out last year and had to rebuild from scratch for the most part. So coming into the season there were a few questions. Well, they are currently sitting at 10-3 after a 5-0 week. This past week they averaged 11 runs per game beating University of the Southwest 12-2 then sweeping Garden City 10-6, 16-12, 3-2, and 14-13. New Mexico is a team that had some questions to be answered early and looks like they have found the answers to them.

Temple – 3-0 – Outscored their opponents 50-3

Walters State – 4-1 – Had 2 wins over #1 San Jac, 1 Win over #3 Chipola, and Lake Land. Lost the one game to #3 Chipola

Lenoir – 6-0
