Walden tosses complete game 1 hitter in 13-0 win

GAME 3
NMJC Thunderbirds jumped out to an early lead on Howard Junior College and captured a 13-0 victory on Saturday at NMJC.
With eight runs in the first three innings, NMJC Thunderbirds left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A three-run home run by Travon Benton during the first inning helped NMJC Thunderbirds put some runs on the board early.
Luis Pintor racked up four RBIs on two hits for NMJC Thunderbirds . He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.
Howard Junior College had no answer for Blake Walden, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Howard Junior College managed just one hit off of Walden, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Parker Towns couldn't get it done on the bump for Howard Junior College, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
NMJC Thunderbirds brought home five runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, NMJC Thunderbirds scored on an RBI single by Matt Martin, bringing home Zac Sanders.
NMJC Thunderbirds added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Daniel Herrera singled, scoring Sanders. That was followed up by Martin's double, bringing home Jesse Becton.
GAME 4
NMJC Thunderbirds lost a battle of the bats on Saturday at NMJC, falling short in a 12-8 ballgame against Howard Junior College.
Daniel Herrera racked up three RBIs on two hits for NMJC Thunderbirds . He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Pake Montgomery got the win in relief for Howard Junior College. Montgomery pitched two innings and allowed two runs.
Wyatt Kelley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
In the top of the third, Howard Junior College grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A solo home run by Williams started the inning off. Howard Junior College then tacked on more runs when Paris scored on a two-run home run by Davison.
After posting one run in the fourth, Howard Junior College again scored one in the seventh. In the fourth, Howard Junior College scored on an RBI double by Williams, bringing home Owens.
It didn't take long for NMJC Thunderbirds to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the fourth. NMJC Thunderbirds scored on a solo home run by Herrera and an RBI double by Angel De Jesus.
Howard Junior College increased its lead with four runs in the ninth. The inning looked promising, as Owens homered to kick things off. That was followed up by Williams' solo blast.
Four runs in the bottom of the ninth helped NMJC Thunderbirds close its deficit to 12-8. A two-run single by Herrera, an RBI single byMatt Martin, and a groundout by De Jesus sparked NMJC Thunderbirds 's rally. But, Owens got Eddy Vasquezto fly out to end the game.
